Lockheed Martin UK First Defence Company to Achieve MOD Defence Cyber Certification Level 3

London, July 13, 2026— Lockheed Martin UK has been announced as the first defence company to achieve Defence Cyber Certification (DCC) Level 3 – the highest level of cyber protection in the Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) programme established to strengthen cyber resilience across Britain’s defence supply chain.

The recently announced Cyber Resilience Pledge and the forthcoming National Cyber Action Plan (NCAP) and Cyber Resilience Bill are asking all organisations to reassess their cyber resilience and harden their critical supply chains. The DCC is the next step to a more secure defence industry, and the MOD has asked all industry partners, big and small, to achieve Level 0 of the DCC by 31 December 2026.

Lockheed Martin’s achievement comes as cyber resilience plays an increasingly important role in protecting programme delivery and supply chains while ensuring operational readiness across the defence sector.

Eleanor Fairford, Director of Cyber Defence & Risk, Ministry of Defence said, “I am delighted that Lockheed Martin has successfully achieved Level 3 of the new Defence Cyber Certification demonstrating excellent cyber resilience in their business supporting UK Defence.”

“By achieving DCC Level 3 ahead of deadline, Lockheed Martin UK has demonstrated its leadership in defence cyber security and its commitment to maintaining the trusted, secure and dependable operations and supply chain that its MOD customers expect.” said Paul Livingston, Chief Executive, UK & NATO, Lockheed Martin. "Strong cyber resilience enables us to deliver with confidence for our customers and partners, and achieving Level 3 reflects our continued investment in, and focus on, delivering sovereign secure ’Secure by Design‘ operations for our customers in the UK every day."

As customer requirements and the threat landscape evolve, Lockheed Martin UK will continue working with its suppliers and industry partners to strengthen cyber resilience and support mission success across the UK defence industry.

This achievement also recognises the dedication of employees across Lockheed Martin UK whose work helps maintain the trust placed in the company by its customers and partners.
