HAVANT, England, July 16, 2024 -- Nordic postal and logistics operator PostNord has awarded Lockheed Martin a new three year contract to support PostNord’s cutting edge mail sorting solution,  Gemensam Läs Plattform (GLP), taking this successful relationship between the two companies to a duration of almost two decades. 

This contract will maintain a flexible operation for PostNord across Sweden with Lockheed Martin's Next Generation Sortation Platform (NGSP), mail piece image analysis, address matching, smart sort decision making and mailpiece attributes resolution using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

Lockheed Martin has worked in partnership with postal and logistics operators around the world for more than half a century to deliver more than 500 mail and material handling systems and helping to sort more than a quarter of the world’s letter mail.
