Glasgow, September 18, 2015 – Lockheed Martin has officially opened a new flagship office in Glasgow that will be central to the international growth of its information systems business. The new facility, based in Skypark, will be home to 327 new jobs over the coming years and underlines the company’s intent to support Scotland’s digital economy and provide highly skilled jobs in the west of Scotland.

With an operation in Glasgow for over 25 years, the new facility replaces the previous home at the iconic India of Inchinnan building and is one of three offices in Scotland, alongside Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

Thanks to significant support from Scottish Enterprise through a Regional Selective Assistance (RSA) grant, more than 50 new jobs have been created since the beginning of the year supporting customers that include the Scottish Government and Skills Development Scotland, international airports such as Glasgow, Edinburgh and JFK, as well as Iberdrola, Centrica and National Grid in the Energy sector.
